By downloading, installing, or using the Sanatan™ App, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and agreed to be legally bound by its provisions. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions of this Policy, you must refrain from using the Sanatan™ App and should uninstall it from your device immediately. The Sanatan™ App, in its Version 1 model, offers four primary sections: Home, Horoscope, Astrology (currently under development), and Wisdom. Within these sections, users may interact with an artificial intelligence assistant known as Sanatan AI, engage in personalized horoscope readings, input personal details for generating Panchang timings and Kundli charts, and access wisdom-based AI-generated videos concerning astrology.
1. Information We Collect:
1.1 Sanatan™ App collects information from users in multiple ways to ensure full functionality of its services, personalization of content, and compliance with legal requirements. The categories of information collected include information that you provide directly to us, information collected automatically through your device and interactions, and information derived from integrated third-party services.
1.2 When you register on the Sanatan™ App, you are required to provide a valid email address and create a password. The email address serves as your unique identifier, allowing us to maintain your account, communicate with you, and provide account recovery options. Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard encryption protocols, ensuring they remain secure and inaccessible to unauthorized parties. You may also choose to provide additional profile information such as your name, profile photo, gender, home address and contact phone number. Providing such information enhances your experience but is not strictly mandatory for basic usage.
1.3 The Horoscope section collects details such as your date of birth, precise time of birth, and place of birth to generate personalized Kundli charts and Panchang details. This data is utilized exclusively for generating astrological insights in accordance with the principles of Hindu astrology and shall not be used for unrelated profiling or marketing without your explicit consent.
1.4 The Sanatan AI feature enables real-time text interactions. While using this AI assistant, we may collect the content of your communications and your interaction history. These data points allow us to train the AI models for improved responsiveness and personalization. However, personal identifiers embedded in conversations are maintained in strict confidence.
1.5 The Wisdom section hosts AI-generated videos relating to astrology and spiritual education. While these videos do not collect data themselves, we do monitor your engagement with the content, including what videos you view, how long you view them, and whether you download or replay them. Such usage information is aggregated to improve our educational offerings.
1.6 While you are using the Sanatan™ App, we may collect device information such as the model, operating system, device identifiers (including IP address, advertising ID), network information, and browser version to help us optimize app performance across devices, detect fraudulent behavior, and ensure technical stability. We may also collect usage information, including the features you access, the frequency of your interactions, time spent within specific sections, navigation pathways, and crash logs. These metrics guide us in improving the application, resolving technical problems, and enhancing user experience.
2. How We Use Your Information:
2.1 The information collected is used primarily to provide, maintain, and enhance the services offered through the Sanatan App. When you supply your birth details, our system processes this information exclusively to generate Panchang, horoscope, and Kundli results tailored to your profile. This ensures that content delivered to you is meaningful and accurate within the astrological framework.
2.2 We use your account credentials, such as your email and password, for authentication, account recovery, and communication regarding updates or changes to the services. Communications may include service announcements, security alerts, or feature updates. Where legally permissible and with your prior consent, we may also use your email to inform you about future paid features or offers, and also provide you with the information and the option to unsubscribe from such paid features or offers.
2.3 The AI interaction logs from Sanatan AI are processed for improving the contextual understanding and accuracy of responses. Such processing is performed using best practices and standards for data anonymization
2.4 Device and usage data serve diagnostic purposes. For instance, if the application crashes on certain devices, such logs allow us to pinpoint technical flaws and issue corrective patches. Similarly, aggregated analytics regarding which zodiac signs or features are most accessed helps us prioritize product development in future versions.
2.5 We also process information to protect the integrity and security of the application. This includes detecting fraudulent logins, preventing abusive behavior within the AI assistant, and ensuring compliance with our Terms of Service. In addition, personal information may be processed to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful government requests, enforce agreements, or protect the rights, property, and safety of Sanatan™, its users, or the public at large.

Disclosure may also occur if deemed necessary in good faith to prevent illegal activities, protect against liability, enforce our Terms of Service, or ensure the safety of users.

We may also retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we implement secure deletion protocols, including permanent erasure from active databases and backup systems. Users may at any time request deletion of their data through website and such requests shall be honored within statutory timelines. In addition, the Sanatan App provides an in-app feature that allows users to immediately delete their account, upon which associated personal information is scheduled for secure and permanent removal in accordance with this Policy.

5.1 Sanatan™ App employs a combination of technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to ensure that personal information remains secure against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our servers are hosted on secure cloud infrastructures with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and continuous patching protocols.
5.2 We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure.
6. Your Privacy Rights:
6.1 As a resident of California, you are entitled to specific privacy rights under the CCPA/CPRA.
